The wait for filmmaker Thiagarajan Kumararaja’s next feature film is officially coming to an end. Headlined by Vijay Sethupathi, the makers on Friday announced that upcoming project, Pocket Novel, is slated for a theatrical release during the Pongal festival.
The film features an ensemble cast, starring Malavika Mohanan, Raj B. Shetty, and Kishore.

Speaking about his experience on set in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter India, Sethupathi had previously expressed his excitement about reuniting with the auteur. "I love the way this man executes his films."
On the technical front, Pocket Novel brings together GV Prakash Kumar as the music director — marking his first collaboration with Kumararaja —along with cinematographer Nirav Shah. The screenplay has been penned by Andrew Louis, creator of the series Vadhandhi: The Fable of Velonie, with stunt choreography by Dhilip Subbarayan.
The film is produced by Thiagarajan Kumararaja alongside S.D. Ezhilmathy under the Tyler Durden and Kino Fist banners.
Having wrapped up filming and entering post-production, Pocket Novel joins a high-stakes Pongal box-office frame alongside several major festival releases.
