The trailer for 'Ranabaali,' set during the 1870s famine, showcases Vijay Deverakonda as a rebellious warrior fighting against British colonizers in the fictional village of Singanamala. Featuring Rashmika Mandanna as his wife, the film promises intense action, emotional depth, and a gripping period drama. Directed by Mythri Movie Makers, it is set for a worldwide release on October 16, 2026.

Mythri Movie Makers, the banner behind the Vijay Deverakonda-Rashmika Mandanna starrer Ranabaali, released the film's trailer on October 8. Directed by Rahul Sankrityan and produced by Naveen Yerneni & Y. Ravi Shankar, the film will be out in theatres worldwide on October 16, 2026.

Set during a famine in the 1870s, it opens with the birth of Deverakonda's Ranabaali, the film's hero. Ranabaali is born atop a hill, at the foot of a mystical cave, where a sage-like being blesses him and gives him his name. The trailer then leads viewers to its primary setting, the town of Singanamala, a Rayalaseema village.

It is revealed that Ranabaali is a rebellious town warrior, who strives for the justice of the townspeople against the ruling British Empire. Ranabaali soon marries Jayamma (Rashmika Mandanna), who is advised by Ranabaali's family that it is her responsibility to ensure the family's lineage is carried forward.

The trailer then shifts back to the Madras famine, showing the town impacted by farmer suicides and bloodshed by the colonisers. This is intercut with glimpses of the colonisers enjoying their luxuries and relishing in the pain they have caused the townspeople.

It concludes with Ranabaali seen sitting in intense prayer, followed by intense action sequences of him fighting members of the British army, including a final action still of Ranabaali against Arnold Vosloo's Sir Theodore Hector.

The film marks Deverakonda's third collaboration with Mythri Movie Makers after Dear Comrade and Kushi, and his third pairing with Mandanna following Geetha Govindam and Dear Comrade. It's also the real-life couple's first film release since their wedding earlier this year, adding another layer of anticipation to the rollout

Ranabaali is produced by Naveen Yerneni and Y. Ravi Shankar under Mythri Movie Makers, with T-Series presenting the film. The film is written by Pramod Tammineni, with music by Ajay-Atul, cinematography by Nirav Shah, production design by Shivam Rao Nagasani and editing by Karthika Srinivas R. International action directors Yannick Ben and Andy Long Nguyen have handled the film's action sequences.
