Director Soumendra Padhi, known for creating and directing the acclaimed phishing scam drama Jamtara – Sabka Number Ayega, is returning with another Netflix original series, starring Vijay Varma, Richa Chadha and Rahul Bhat in lead roles.
According to a report in What's On Netflix, the series is a contemporary treasure-hunt story structured along the lines of Indiana Jones — the popular American franchise headlined by Harrison Ford as an archaeology professor uncovering ancient artefacts. In a similar vein, the upcoming series is said to be a large-scale, ambitious production combining treasure hunts, ancient mysteries and adventure.
In the untitled series, Varma plays the role of the treasure hunter who leads the narrative, while Chadha plays a police officer. The details of Rahul Bhat's character have not been revealed yet.
The untitled series is written by Apurva Asrani, with dialogues by Karan Vyas and screenplay by Parveez Shaikh. The ensemble cast also includes Kusha Kapila, who most recently appeared in the short-film Vyarth, and Ankita Lokhande, who was last seen in Randeep Hooda's Swatantrya Veer Savarkar.
Lokhande, famously known for her work in Hindi television, will be making her streaming debut with this show.
