This week's streaming slate is packed with the return of a landmark anthology drama, an animated horror spin-off and a mob war. Netflix brings back its Emmy-nominated Lust Stories franchise for a third instalment, and Paramount+'s crime drama MobLand returns for a second season built around the Harrigan family's crumbling criminal empire. Directed by Sameer Vidwans, this MX Original series is a comedy crime drama set in Patna, following Sugam Mishra, played Divyenndu Sharma, a newly posted Railway Police officer investigating a Tatkal ticketing racket. Bhuvan Arora plays Afroz Hamsa, a skilled yet socially awkward computer expert whose ticket-booking software (built to impress a girl) turns into a widespread network once his uncle sees its business potential. Kumud Mishra, Vijay Maurya, Harshita Gaur, Srushti Tare, Sunita Rajwar, Yashpal Sharma and Daya Shankar Pandey round out the cast. The seven-episode series is written by Shreyas Jain, Prateek Payodhi and Ashish Thomas and premieres on Prime Video and MX Player on September 16.
The third instalment of Netflix's anthology franchise brings together four directors — Vikramaditya Motwane, Kiran Rao, Shakun Batra and Vishal Bhardwaj — each helming a separate short film exploring desire, relationships and vulnerability. The ensemble cast includes Konkana Sen Sharma, Radhika Apte, Aditi Rao Hydari, Radhika Madan, Sana Thampi, Vijay Varma, Siddharth, Ali Fazal, Gurfateh Pirzada and Abhishek Banerjee. The famed anthology returns to tackle themes of love, relationships, desire and the complications surrounding them, with each short film taking on a separate story.

Ankur Rathee, Janina Gavankar, Lilly Singh, Chaneil Kular, Hasan Minhaj and Nico Greetham round out the supporting cast.

The animated Stranger Things spin-off returns just five months after its first season, picking up right after the Hawkins Investigators Club defeats the Horde Queen. Set around Valentine's Day, the new season follows the group — voiced by Brooklyn Davey Norstedt as Eleven, Luca Diaz as Mike, Benjamin Plessala as Will, Elisha "EJ" Williams as Lucas, Jolie Hoang-Rappaport as Max, Braxton Quinney as Dustin and Odessa A'zion as newcomer Nikki — as they investigate ghostly apparitions and a new entity surfacing in Hawkins, Indiana. The new season premieres on Netflix on September 17.
