ZEE5 has unveiled its biggest multilingual slate, rolling out new originals, films, sports, animation and kids’ content across seven Indian languages. The lineup spans Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Marathi, Malayalam and Bangla, with returning franchises, theatrical premieres and direct-to-digital titles, backed by top filmmakers and a strong focus on bold, culturally rooted storytelling.
On July 19, streaming platform ZEE5 announced its most expansive multilingual content slate yet, unveiling a lineup of new originals, films, AI-powered storytelling, sports, animation and kids' programming across seven different regional languages.
The streaming platform's slate spans Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Marathi, Malayalam and Bangla titles, and alongside originals, features a selection of returning franchises, theatrical premiers and direct-to-digital films. It has also partnered with some of India's most renowned filmmakers, storytellers and production houses across languages.
Driven by its longstanding belief cinema should be culturally sound, ZEE5's new slate mirrors its vision of creating stories that invite conversation and transcend languages and borders.
Its Hindi slate includes the newly announced original series, Kambli, based on the life of former Indian cricketer Vinod Kambli, The Scam: Leaked, Coffee King and Jeena Isi Ka Naam Hai 2.0 (hosted by R. Madhavan). Series like the ZEE Horror Show, Rangbaaz S4, Janaawar 2, and Bakaiti Season 2 will also be making a return.
The Hindi film slate features an assortment of direct-to-digital and theatrical releases, including Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai, Bandar, Bharat Bhagya Vidhata, Pooja Meri Jaan, Sarvgunn Sampann, Ghamasaan, Ikroop and Dalimb.
In Tamil, audiences can expect the return of Koose Munisamy Veerappan and Thadayam, along with new originals including Ananthakaalam and Thee Kural.
In Telugu, ZEE5 is set to release originals such as Shrimathi, Objection Mylord and the return of the blockbuster talk show Jayammu Nishchayammu Ra. The lineup also includes some highly anticipated films like Venky Anil 5, Vrushakarma and NBK111.
The Kannada slate will see the return of Ayyana Mane with a new season, alongside Bitcoin Scam and Operation Bangara. The Prajwal Devaraj-starrer Karavali will also be part of the lineup.
As for Malayalam, the platform will premiere one of the year's most acclaimed films Balan the Boy, alongside A Queen, Malabar Cup and the independent rap battle show Kerala Underground.
The Marathi lineup will bring the new season of Hey Kay Navin?, the new original Aga Aai, Aaho Aai, alongside blockbuster films Tumbadchi Manjula and Bhootam Bhayam.
In Bangla, fan favourites Lalbazaar and Shwetkali are all set to return with new seasons, while shows like Aloor Dosh and Priyo Bondhu will bolster the original slate even further.
Tejkarran Singh Bajaj, the Business Head of ZEE5 India describes the platforms philosophy as one to "back the bold, champion the unconventional and create experiences that audiences cannot find anywhere else."
