The trailer of Phanindra Narsetti's 8 Vasantalu was released by production house Mythri Movie Makers recently. The film, which is anchored by Ananthika Sanilkumar, documents a young woman's navigation of love, ambition and loss over the period of 8 years. "A man's love has proof such monuments made out of marble, but the proof of a woman's love is buried within her heart," she says in the trailer.

8 Vasantalu, which co-stars Ravi Duggirala, Hanu Reddy, and Kanna Pasunoori in important roles, marks the comeback of Narsetti nearly seven years following his debut feature film Manu (2018). The film has music by popular composer Hesham Abdul Wahab and camerawork by Vishwanath Reddy.

The Telugu film is releasing alongside Sekhar Kammula's Kuberaa, on June 20. Starring Dhanush and Nagarjuna in lead roles, the action drama will explore the face-off between Deva, a beggar, and Kumar, a government official. When Kumar offers Deva some money and strength, their lives get upturned, and a battle for money and power begins. The film, which also features Sunainaa and Jim Sarbh in key roles, has music by Devi Sri Prasad, camerawork by Niketh Bommi, and production design by the legendary Thota Tharani.

Tamil actor-director Dhanush is stepping into the Telugu film industry for the second time with Kuberaa. In a recent press meet in Mumbai, the actor recalled what drew him to the script. "It is because of Sekhar sir that I did this film," he said. "He is a fantastic human being. You will not meet a person like him. You do a lot of films and meet a lot of people. But when you meet someone like him, you feel the travel is worth it. He narrated the movie to me in 20 minutes, and I loved his energy and positivity." The Tamil actor also noted that the film took him back to his childhood in a way.
