Director Adhik Ravichandran, who had made this year’s Good Bad Ugly, recently revealed that the pre-production work for his next film with Ajith Kumar (tentatively titled Ajith 64), is almost over.

According to a reports, the new movie is all set to begin early next year in February 2026. Addressing the media at an event, Adhik said that the pre-production work in just days away from getting over and added that his crew was, “currently on a recce, scouting locations for the film.” He also said it would be “very special film for me because Ajith sir has trusted me with another film after Good Bad Ugly. I am working on AK64 with that responsibility.”

Earlier, Ajith had said he would be starting the shoot of his next film in November. But the delay in shoot may also be because of the superstar’s busy racing schedule. Good Bad Ugly starred Trisha, Arjun Das, Sunil, Prabhu, Prasanna, Karthikeya Dev, Priya Prakash Varrier, Jackie Shroff and Shine Tom Chacko.

On the racing front, the actor’s wife Shalini Ajith Kumar, posted a photo on her Instagram handle late last week, announcing that her husband had won an award or becoming the Gentleman Driver Of The Year of 2025, presented in Italy, by the Philippe Charriol Motorsport Group.  Along with two pictures at the event, Shalini wrote, “Honoured to stand beside my husband in Venice, as he is being awarded "Gentleman Driver of the Year 2025 "in honour of entrepreneur and racing driver, the late Philippe Charriol.”

On collecting the honour, Ajith is reported to have said, “I’d like to take this moment to remember Mr Philippe Charriol. I've heard so many nice things about Mr Charriol, that he was very kind and a wonderful person. I heard that he inspired all those he came across in his life. My experience in the motorsport world has been exciting, challenging, and a pleasure,” he added.
