Actor Alia Bhatt's latest production venture, the coming of age romantic comedy, Don’t Be Shy, has booked its release date. Written and directed by debutant filmmaker Sreeti Mukerji, the young-adult feature introduces a lead quartet of newcomers—Aarushi Bajaj, Ansh Duggal, Bianca Arora, and Piyush Khati.

Announcing the release date, Prime Video shared the poster of the film and wrote, "Love, besties and all the drama in between 🎀 #DontBeShyOnPrime, New Movie, Sept 25."
Previously in a statement, Alia had mentioned that she wants to back stories that "feel honest and voices that feel their own,” adding that Don’t Be Shy "immediately spoke to us because of its sincerity and coming-of-age lens and Sreeti’s passion and energy naturally fed into the spirit of the story."
According to Nikhil Madhok, director and head of originals for Prime Video India, the platform sees the project as a character-led romantic comedy aimed at younger audiences. He described the film as a story about growing up that blends humour with emotional realism.
The music for the film is composed by Ram Sampath. Don’t Be Shy is co-produced by Grishma Shah and Vikesh Bhutani and made in association with Chalkboard Entertainment. Dialogues and additional screenplay have been written by Sehaj Kaur Maini.
