After months of discussion, it is finally official: Allu Arjun is collaborating with Atlee for a global sci-fi film. Produced by Kalanithi Maran of Sun Pictures, the makers announced the project, tentatively titled AA22xA6, with a special video.

"Gear up for the Landmark Cinematic Event #AA22xA6 - A Magnum Opus from Sun Pictures," the production house tweeted.

In the video, Atlee is seen with the Pushpa 2 star as they travel to Los Angeles to meet various production and VFX heads. Their first stop is at Lola VFX company, where Jamie Madigan, the VFX Supervisor known for his works in Iron Man 2 and Transformers: Rise of the Beats, says, "I read the script and my head is still spinning."

The video then shows Atlee and the superstar meeting other technicians and VFX supervisors as the team begins work on pre-visualisation for the big-budget film.

"I am very excited about all the creature potential," Justin Raleigh, CEO and Artistic Director, Fractured FX says, while Mike Elizalde, President Artistic Director, Spectral Motion, who has worked for Avengers: Infinity War and Fantastic Four, is heard calling the script "the best of best of what I would ever want to create."

The video ends with Allu Arjun trying out various masks, playing with station gears that simulate 3D characters in the presence of Atlee as the text on the screen reads: When Mass Meets Magic.

This will be the first time Atlee is teaming up with the Telugu superstar, who tasted pan-India success with his 2024 historic blockbuster Pusha 2: The Rule. Directed by Sukumar, the film released last December and grossed over ₹1,830 crore globally.

Atlee last directed superstar Shah Rukh Khan-led Jawan, the 2023 action blockbuster that marked the filmmaker's Hindi debut. Further details about the film, including other cast and crew, have been kept under wraps.
