The announcement came during a press event for Mythri’s upcoming Telugu film Robinhood, starring Nithiin and Sree Leela, where producer Y Ravi Shankar addressed ongoing speculation about Pushpa 3.

While details on Atlee’s film remain under wraps, the project marks the director’s foray into Telugu cinema after the record-breaking success of Shah Rukh Khan starrer Jawan, which grossed over ₹1150 crore worldwide. Trivikram Srinivas and Allu Arjun, meanwhile, have a history of hits, including Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo (2020), one of Telugu cinema’s highest-grossing films.

Allu Arjun’s return to Pushpa — the action saga that catapulted him to pan-India superstardom—will likely take shape in 2027, with a release expected the following year. The franchise has set new benchmarks for Telugu cinema, with Pushpa: The Rise (2021) grossing over ₹365 crore globally and its sequel, Pushpa: The Rule, breaking all the records and earning ₹1,738.45 crore globally.
