The film co-stars Nikhila Vimal, Indrans, Murali Gopy, Santhy Balachandran, Sunil, and Achyuth Kumar
Tamil actor Arya's next film will be a bilingual political thriller, written by Lucifer (2019) and L2: Empuraan (2025) writer Murali Gopy. The film's title teaser was launched on Monday. Directed by Jiyen Krishnakumar, the film, which is headed for a release in Tamil and Malayalam, co-stars Nikhila Vimal, Indrans, Murali Gopy, Santhy Balachandran, Sunil, and Achyuth Kumar.
Tamil actors Santhanam, Vishal, Karthi, and Sasikumar launched the film's poster and teaser on X. The teaser hints at a land rights drama unfolding in the middle of a forest, with Arya left to fight against injustices. The film has music by Kantara fame Ajaneesh Loknath, and camera work by S Yuva.
Gopy last served as the screenwriter for Mohanlal and Prithviraj's L2: Empuraan, which became the highest-grossing Malayalam film of all time in April this year. The film rewrote box-office records despite the controversy surrounding it. Empuraan ran into trouble over its depiction of the 2002 Gujarat riots, following which the makers made 24 edits, including the removal of politically sensitive scenes, and released a revised version post original release. A sequel to the 2019 film Lucifer, Empuraan also stars Sukumaran, Abhimanyu Singh, Tovino Thomas, and Manju Warrier, among others.
Krishnakumar, on the other hand, has written and directed RJ Balaji and Aishwarya Rajesh's Tamil thriller Run Baby Run (2023). Arya was last seen in Sailesh Kolanu's Telugu film Saindhav (2024), co-starring Venkatesh, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, and Shraddha Srinath.
