Already a Swarovski ambassador, the Bollywood star now adds Chanel to her global fashion portfolio, becoming the first Indian face of the iconic French house.
In a defining moment for Indian representation in global fashion, actor Ananya Panday has been named the first Indian brand ambassador for the legendary French luxury label Chanel. The 26-year-old is also the ambassador for Swarovski and has been the face of several Jimmy Choo campaigns as well.
Chanel, the iconic maison founded by Gabrielle “Coco” Chanel in 1910, officially announced Ananya’s appointment, highlighting her alignment with the brand’s values. In a statement with BoF, the brand said Panday "characterises a generation of evolving tastes and fiercely independent identities who navigate the world with their curiosities. Her values resonate with Chanel, making her the perfect choice to represent the house.”
Ananya, who first turned heads at Paris Fashion Week last year by attending Chanel’s Spring-Summer show, shared her excitement through an Instagram post, writing, Beyond grateful and excited for my journey with @chanelofficial. The first ever brand ambassador for and from India. Dreams really do come true.”
With a growing global presence, Ananya’s elevation to Chanel’s inner circle is seen as a powerful indicator of India’s rising influence in luxury fashion conversations.

Back home, she’s also gearing up for the release of Kesari Chapter 2, in which she stars alongside Akshay Kumar and R. Madhavan, playing the role of a lawyer.
With Chanel’s nod, she joins an elite list of brand ambassadors that includes Kristen Stewart and Jennie from BLACKPINK, further cementing her position on the world stage.
