The Malayalam actor is said to be playing the role of a dreaded vilain in the LCU film
Nivin Pauly shared an update on his film Benz, directed by Bakkiyaraj Kannan, confirming that he has finished his portion in the Raghava Lawrence action thriller. He is said to be playing the villain in the film, which is a part of Lokesh Kanagaraj’s Lokesh Cinematic Universe, or LCU. He shared some photos from the set of the film in which Nivin is playing Twin Fish Walter. Raghava Lawrence acts in the titular character of Benz, and actor Samyuktha is also part of the cast.
While Kanagaraj is not directing this instalment, he remains creatively involved, co-writing and co-producing the film under his G Squad banner. Composer Sai Abhyankkar, known for AA22, is on board for this film.
Pauly, best known for Premam, recently wrapped filming Baby Girl, a thriller directed by Garudan’s Arun Varma and scripted by acclaimed duo Bobby and Sanjay. The film also stars Lijomol Jose and Premalu’s Sangeeth Prathap, and is produced by Listin Stephen under Magic Frames. The star had previously completed the horror-comedy Sarvam Maya. The film’s director, Akhil Sathyan, had posted a clapboard with the film’s final day of shoot, confirming the completion of the project. The movie is said to be a charming comedy about Nivin Pauly’s character entering an old Tharavadu and having to deal with a mysterious force there. Apart from Pauly, the film co-stars Preity Mukundhan and Aju Varghese. Akhil Sathyan had previously directed Paachuvum Albhuthavilakkum starring Fahadh Faasil. This film will be released for Christmas.
A press note listed all of his upcoming projects in the coming year. It said, “The upcoming year is loaded with a versatile lineup that audiences have been eagerly awaiting, signalling a brilliant new era for the star. While the slate is diverse, the biggest cheer is for his foray into the fan-favourite genres he has perfected. The fun begins with Sarvam Maya, a horror-comedy for Christmas 2025 that reunites him with Aju Varghese. Following this is the highly anticipated Bethlehem Kudumba Unit, a romantic comedy from the blockbuster Premalu team. Paired with Mamitha Baiju, this is the perfect Nivin Pauly entertainer that fans have been craving. But his artistic range doesn't stop there. He will showcase his intense side in the thriller Baby Girl, hitting theatres this November.”
