'Bethlehem Kudumba Unit': Nivin Pauly and Mamitha Baiju's Film Locks August Release

Popular Malayalam actor Nivin Pauly's Bethlehem Kudumba Unit locks August 21 as its release date. The film, produced by Bhavana Studios and directed by Gireesh AD, co-stars Mamitha Baiju, Sangeeth Prathap, Vinay Forrt and Suresh Krishna.

Gireesh is known for directing the successful Malayalam comedy Premalu (2024), which also co-starred Baiju. The co-writer on Bethlehem Kudumba Unit is Kiran Josey, with Vishnu Vijay on music, Ajmal Sabu on cinematography, and Akash Joseph Varghese on editing.       

Pauly was last seen in the hit horror comedy Sarvam Maya, and will next be seen in a series of interesting projects, including the Tamil film Benz. Pauly recently shared that he had finished his portion in the Raghava Lawrence action thriller. He is said to be playing the villain in the film, which is a part of Lokesh Kanagaraj’s Lokesh Cinematic Universe, or LCU. He shared some photos from the set of the film in which Nivin is playing Twin Fish Walter. Raghava Lawrence acts in the titular character of Benz, and actor Samyuktha is also part of the cast.

While Kanagaraj is not directing this instalment, he remains creatively involved, co-writing and co-producing the film under his G Squad banner. Composer Sai Abhyankkar, known for AA22, is on board for this film.

Baiju, on the other hand, who was last seen in Kara, has another exciting project releasing in August. The actress will be seen alongside Suriya in Venky Atluri's Vishwanath and Sons. Written and directed by Venky Atluri, the film is produced by Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya. GV Prakash, with whom Atluri has worked on his previous productions, Lucky Bhaskar and Vaathi/Sir is behind the music for this upcoming release.

Baiju was also announced to be associated with Pradeep Ranganathan's debut production tentatively titled  PRS01. The film stars Mamitha Baiju in the lead role, with Ashwath Marimuthu opposite her. Its recently released launch video opened with Mamitha's character hurling a knife at Marimuthu's character, hinting at an action-oriented premise. The cast also includes Telugu actor Sivaji Sontineni, Swasika, Lizzie Antony and Anamika Mahi, who is being introduced through this film.
