Tamil actor-director Dhanush is stepping into the Telugu film industry for the second time with his upcoming film Kuberaa, directed by Sekhar Kammula. In a recent press meet in Mumbai, the actor recalled what drew him to the script. "It is because of Sekhar sir that I did this film," he said.

"He is a fantastic human being. You will not meet a person like him. You do a lot of films and meet a lot of people. But when you meet someone like him, you feel the travel is worth it. He narrated the movie to me in 20 minutes, and I loved his energy and positivity," he said. The actor will be seen alongside Nagarjuna, Rashmika Mandanna, and Jim Sarbh in the Telugu social thriller. The Tamil actor also noted that the film took him back to his childhood in a way.

I'm very thankful to this film for so many reasons, and taking me back to my childhood was one of them," he said, adding that he just had to follow Kammula for the film. "Sekhar sir was brilliant. He taught me the nuances, the slang and made life very easy for me. I enjoyed the challenge."
