Sreyas, actor Dhanush’s manager, has posted a statement clarifying his stance on being accused of casting couch incidents. He said someone was using his name and that of Dhanush’s production house, Wunderbar Films, to speak to aspiring actors.

In this release, put out on X, he wrote, “As l've already stated on 31st January 2024 and again on 19th February 2025 across my official social media platforms, I would like to reiterate that any casting calls, messages, or offers made under my name or under Wunderbar Films Pvt. Ltd. are completely fake and baseless. +91 75987 46841 and 917598756841 is not my number and is being misused with my picture. A formal complaint has been lodged with the police authorities in connection with this issue (sic).”

Sreyas's response came shortly after television actress Manya's video interview with a Tamil YouTube channel went viral, wherein she's discussing getting calls from Dhanush's manager for a film. Manya recently clarified that the real footage was edited to spread false rumours of allegations. "That clip was mainly aimed at creating an awareness to public about the misuse and impersonation. I had even posted an Instagram story regarding the same, the fake news that's being spread under my name. Even then I see many people discussing the issue unnecessarily. Please refer to my original interview and footage to understand the issue," she said, adding that she never accused Dhanush. Manya is a television actor famous for her role in the TV serial Vanatha Pola

In flashbacks, we learn of the characters’ pasts, how they met during their college days in Delhi and fell in love. Shankar, then as now, was an incorrigible hothead—violent, brash, aggressive. “If I fall in love, I’ll burn Delhi down,” he says. Indeed, he almost does, once Mukti drifts apart from him and — to phase out the obsessive lover from her life — opts to marry someone else.
