The duo reunite after their successful outing in Kannada film 'Blink'
Kannada actor Dheekshith Shetty’s next film will be a found-footage thriller titled Video. And what’s more, the actor will reunite with director Srinidhi Bengaluru, after their collaboration in Blink, for this film. The announcement was made by the makers on X.
“Ready for a cinematic revolution? Humbly, DHEE CINEMAS Presents “VIDEO” It's time to redefine the #video experience! What you're about to witness will challenge reality. A found footage thriller that will leave you breathless!” Shetty posted on X, along with a poster of the film.
The film will be produced and presented by Dhee Cinemas, a production venture launched by Shetty. “11 years. Countless characters. All made possible by your love and strength. Now, a new chapter begins, not just as an actor, but as a storyteller. Presenting DHEE CINEMAS — a home for fresh stories and rising talent.Built with your support. Fueled by passion,” the actor-producer wrote on X.
The release and cast details of Video are yet to be announced. Shetty's credits also include Dasara (2023), Srikanth Odela's Telugu film starring Nani and Keethi Suresh. The actor made a memorable performance as Suri, Nani's best friend in the film.
The film will also retain technicians such as composer Prasannaa Kumar, cinematographer Avinash Shastry, and editor Sanjeev Jagirdar, from Blink. Released in 2024, Blink, co-starring Chaithra J Achar, was a time-travel thriller that told the story of Apoorva (Shetty), whose life turns upside down when an old man reveals events from his past.
