Filmmaker Aditya Dhar’s Dhurandhar 2 isn’t going anywhere. After the makers of Yash-led Toxic postponed their film from the March 19 release slot, speculation surfaced on social media that the Ranveer Singh-starrer might also shift its date. That, however, isn’t the case.

The makers of Dhurandhar: The Revenge remain firmly set on a March 19 theatrical release, with no change in plans. One of the most anticipated Indian films in recent times, Dhurandhar: The Revenge will now enjoy an open run at the box-office, and stands as the biggest Indian title arriving in theatres this month.

The makers plan to launch the film's poster, confirming the release date, followed by its debut trailer, which will drop on March 6. The film is a sequel to the 2025 blockbuster Dhurandhar, which shattered box-office records to emerge as the highest-grossing single-language film of all time, grossing over ₹1,300 crore globally.

The sequel continues the journey of Indian intelligence agent Hamza Ali Mazari, also known as Jaskirat Singh Rangi, who operates undercover in Karachi, infiltrating criminal syndicates and political power structures to dismantle a terror network threatening India.

Produced by Jyoti Deshpande and Lokesh Dhar, the film is set for a grand release on March 19, coinciding with Eid, Gudi Padwa and Ugadi. It will release in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam and is expected to shatter all opening day records in India.

Apart from Ranveer Singh, Dhurandhar: The Revenge also features Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, R. Madhavan, Akshaye Khanna, Sara Arjun and Rakesh Bedi.

Meanwhile, Toxic will now hit theatres on June 4. The makers cited the current crisis in the Middle East as the reason for the rescheduling, stating that they had conceptualised the film with the vision to create cinema for a "global audience."

"Filmed in Kannada and English, it is built with the conviction to connect with viewers both at home and across the world. After years of dedicated labour, we were excited to share our film with you all on the 19th of March. However, the current uncertainty, especially in the Middle East, has created a situation that impacts our goal to reach and connect with the widest possible audience," the makers said in a statement.
