'ENE Repeat': 'Ee Nagaraniki Emaindi' Sequel Locks November Release Date

Production house S Originals officially announced on June 29 that ENE Repeat, the sequel to the 2018 Telugu film Ee Nagaraniki Emaindi, will be released worldwide on November 19. The film stars Vishwak Sen, Abhinav Gomatam and Venkatesh Kakumanu reprising their roles from the original, with Srinath Maganti joining the cast. Tharun Bhascker returns as the writer and director of the sequel as well.

The announcement post read, “The gang is back to celebrate where it all began. Celebrating the anniversary of #EeNagaranikiEmaindi with a release date announcement of ENE Repeat. #ENERepeat in cinemas from NOVEMBER 19th, 2026”

The release date was announced through a video posted by the makers, timed to coincide with the eight-year anniversary of the original film's theatrical release. The video used the same friendship-themed song from the first film's soundtrack.

Ee Nagaraniki Emaindi followed four childhood friends, Vivek (Vishwak Sen), Karthik (Sai Sushanth Reddy), Kaushik (Abhinav Gomatam) and Upendra (Venkatesh Kakumanu),  whose paths diverge as adults before they reunite and head to Goa, where a string of mishaps leads them into making a short film together. The film became a commercial success on release and has since attained cult classic status, prompting a theatrical re-release on its fifth anniversary in 2023. The sequel reunites several of its principal cast members under the same writer-director.

Composer Vivek Sagar returns for the sequel, AJ Aaron joins as the cinematographer, and Raviteja Girijala is back as the film’s editor. Production design is handled by Rajesh Pentakota and Sally White. ENE Repeat is produced by Srujan Yarabolu and Sandeep Nagireddy under the S Originals and Rootnode Cinema banners. 

With the release date announced, promotional activities for the film have been scheduled. No further details, such as the plot or first-look images, have been released so far. The film is scheduled to open in theatres on November 19.
