Nagarjuna Akkineni's 100th film will have an exciting villain: Actor Ashok Selvan. The December 24 slot places King100 in the Christmas window, along with Shah Rukh Khan's King, Mohanlal's Athimanoharam, directed by Tharun Moorthy, and Dwayne Johnson-led Jumanji: Open World releasing on the same date.
It is also going to be a packed month for the movies as several Hollywood biggies line up to release, including Avengers: Doomsday and Dune: Part Three.
Even though all films are scheduled to release as per their previously announced date, there was some chatter in the trade that Khan might push his film to avoid coming on a crowded week.
During an #AskSRK session on X, however, when a fan asked Khan if King is still on track as the film might get sandwiched between films, the actor quipped, "Not at all....Think about the breads as well... We are the tasty centre patty."
