Riding high on her international wave, actor-singer Nora Fatehi is set to make a splash as she gears up for her maiden appearance at the 2025 American Music Awards, THR India has learnt.
Set to take place in the wee hours of May 27 (India time) at the newly-launched Fontainebleau Las Vegas, the star-studded event will be hosted by Jennifer Lopez.
Fatehi’s appearance on the global entertainment stage comes fresh off the success of her viral single "Snake" with Jason Derulo, which peaked at #1 on the BBC Asian Music Charts and has so far amassed over 130 million views.
Gracing the AMA will be Fatehi’s attempt to carry forward her South Asian representation after several international appearances over the months.
The 51st AMAs aim to shine a spotlight on performers like Gloria Estefan, Gwen Stefani, Blake Shelton and Janet Jackson, among others. At the event, Janet Jackson will be honoured with the Icon Award while Rod Stewart will be given the Lifetime Achievement Award.
American rapper Kendrick Lamar received the most nominations (10), while artists like Billie Eilish, Chappell Roan, and Shaboozey follow with seven nominations each. Bruno Mars, Lady Gaga, Morgan Wallen, Sabrina Carpenter, SZA, and Taylor Swift are also nominated across categories.
