Envisioned as a two-part epic, Ramayana: Part 1 will release worldwide on November 5 in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam across India.

Ramayana will clash with Suriya's much-awaited film with director Jithu Madhavan, Scene. The makers had dropped a teaser of the film, introducing Suriya as an unconventional, chain-smoking cop credited with a staggering 900 criminal arrests, before he's handed a case that upends his usual way of operating.

The first full trailer of Ramayana was unveiled on July 30, offering audiences their biggest look yet at the filmmaker's ambitious adaptation of the Indian epic. Released during the Brahma Muhurat at 4.15 a.m., the trailer introduced the central conflict between Lord Ram and Raavan while showcasing the expansive mythological world recreated for the big screen.
