Speaking at a public event in Kerala, the actor said the sequel to Aavesham is “surely” happening and confirmed his role in the April 23 release Patriot.
At a public charity event in Kerala, actor Fahadh Faasil shared updates on several of his upcoming projects, including confirmation that a sequel to Aavesham is in the works. Addressing questions about his return to Malayalam cinema after completing projects in other languages, Fahadh said that his next release would, in fact, be in Malayalam.
Referring to the April 23 release of Patriot, Fahadh said, “It’s indeed some form of divine luck that I’m able to act and share screen space in the same film along with Mohanlal sir and Mammootty sir. It’s an interesting film, and like all of you, I too am waiting for its release on April 23.”
When asked about managing diverse roles across multiple film industries, Fahadh responded, “Not sure how to answer that question. I can only thank the kind of directors I work with and how they make it possible for me. My next release is Patriot, and in that, I’m the villain.”
The actor was also asked whether a second part to Aavesham was on the cards. “Surely. There will surely be a second part to Aavesham. Wherever I go, the sequel is something I’m constantly being asked about. Not sure when—either 2027 or 2028—but the second part will surely happen,” he said.
Separately, there has also been discussion around Fahadh’s potential next Tamil project. In September 2025, reports suggested that his next Tamil film could be directed by Prem Kumar. In a recent interview to an online channel, the filmmaker—known for 96 and Meiyazhagan—said that he had narrated portions of a script to Fahadh Faasil and that a collaboration is likely.
Prem Kumar added that unlike his previous films, the new script would have elements of an action thriller, while still retaining his signature emotional core. He also revealed that he had narrated nearly 45 minutes of the story to Fahadh.
