reached out to Vikram Bhatt's daughter, filmmaker Krishna Bhatt, for comment, but received no response at the time of filing.

Make-up artist Komal Halai Dhawan, who says she worked on the project, recalls being hired in 2022 for what was presented as a feature film starring Goenka. The film was backed by Vikram Bhatt's Loneranger Productions. 

"We finished a couple of days of shooting, and then we were told on what they said was the last day that the project was being turned into a web series. They said there would be a break and we’d start again. They never told us the project was being shut down," Dhawan recalls.

According to her, the unit was later called back to film an additional day. At the time, she says, the move appeared to signal continuity. In hindsight, she questions the intent. “It felt like they were trying to show somebody that the shoot was still on—maybe an investor. Eventually they just shut shop,” she alleges.

Dhawan says that from late 2022 onward, she and her representatives repeatedly followed up for outstanding dues. “Till today, they still owe me money for that project. Many other crew members, including actors, haven't been paid. A few people went to the office, created a scene, and were given a little money and told to go away. Nothing substantial happened," Dhawan claims, alleging that her own pending payment is ₹1.75 lakh.

“It became mentally exhausting. It really put a lot of people off the industry. I felt like, what’s the point of working somewhere and then begging for your own money?” she said.

A member of the camera department, who spoke on condition of anonymity, described a similar experience across multiple productions linked to the same banner.

 was a project where we went every day, worked endless hours, and were told payments would be cleared in the next film,” the technician says. “After we left, I personally went 60 to 70 times to the office asking for my money. But nothing happened.”

The crew member alleges that small, intermittent payments were sometimes made during production, only to stop later. “As long as you were working with them, they would give you small amounts so you wouldn’t leave. Once you left, they stopped entertaining you.”

  as a virtual production-heavy shoot mounted largely within a controlled studio environment. The scale of the setup, they say, suggested a project that was actively moving forward, coupled with names like Vikram Bhatt and Mahesh Bhatt attached to it. Dhawan claimed that the latter was even present on sets sometimes, directing actors.

“It was a proper setup—production design, costumes, development work, recces for months. That’s why we assumed there was no question of not being paid," another crew member associated with the film said.

Several other categories of workers—including technicians associated with virtual production and support staff—were also allegedly left waiting for dues, according to the same source. These assertions could not be independently corroborated. 

Dhawan further alleges that repeated assurances linked payment timelines to future releases. “They kept saying once another project was released, they would start clearing people. So it was just constant chasing,” she says.

Her frustration today is less about recovery, she adds, and more about what she describes as a pattern. “I had other ways of earning. But imagine assistants or daily-wage crew who depend entirely on that income? It has been a nightmare. At the time, people told me to let it go because, 'This is how the industry works.’ But this is not normal. You cannot have people work and not pay them."

The anonymous technician frames the experience as career-altering. “You can’t survive without money. After this, I had to step back from films. It kind of crashed that dream.”

, he makes his debut as a lead star after having stolen a foolproof movie script, written by a promising new director named Udayan. He somehow manages to stay relevant by playing the dirtiest of games (which includes cultivating an army of fans to downgrade films of other stars). By the time we see the second film, seven years later, the seedy actor has now fully grown into a full-fledged ego maniac. He wants to use his star power to become a doctor, a respected intellectual, an army lieutenant and a Padmasree winner. Legend Sreenivasan aced this role as the ultimate teardown of the Superstar persona.

During the release of Lal Jr.’s superhit drama 

, the hot topic of the time was to use clues from the film itself to figure out which real-life actor(s) the character of Bhadran would be based on. He had a drinking problem and a peculiar love for a certain type of dialogue delivery, but what made his character most interesting was his obsession with superstition and the need to constantly be in touch with his personal astrologer. Suresh Krishna, who played this role to perfection, brought with him another set of comparisons, given his physique and mannerisms. In a film that’s already led by a superstar with grey shades (played by Prithviraj), Bhadran became the exaggerated extreme of superstar pettiness and of a business run by the male ego. 

The second Lal Jr. film on this list also gives us another superstar with a missing moral compass. David (played by Tovino Thomas) is at the height of an established superstar of Malayalam cinema, but we meet him here as his career goes downhill. New friendships have replaced old, love for parties and girls has taken over his commitment to craft, and he looks at his own fans as a bunch of losers. In other words, it’s a film that begins where most other meta movies end. As David looks to find his soul again, as he loses access to who he once was (the result of which he became a star in the first place), we get a movie villain as he crawls his way back to become an artist first.

As the pompous superstar Aghosh Menon in 

, we see Vinay Forrt as a new-age star who feels he needs to meddle in every department of filmmaking. When we meet him first, we see him ordering his film’s cinematographer to “increase the exposure” to make his frame brighter. He continues to keep shouting technical instructions to the camera crew, with none being empowered enough to tell him that he should be looking at the monitor without his sunglasses on. The scene itself is funny, but these are movie-world truths based on real-life incidents. When he listens to a script that has the potential for three main characters, he fights with the producer, stating he will perform all three of them…just so he doesn’t have to share his credit. What makes this scene funnier is how he agrees to a compromise. Instead of getting paid three times his salary for the three roles, he insists on just being paid double the remuneration. How generous?

In this movie about friendships and the dying dream of making a movie together, the number one villain may have been fate, but a selfish young superstar comes a close second. This star’s name is Raju, and when he sees him first, he’s right in the middle of an action sequence. His demands are bigger than his stardom. He wonders why the film’s AD has not charted heroines in this action scene. “Imagine the applause if I saved women from getting sexually assaulted.” The film-within-the-film he’s a part of gets stalled because he makes the crew wait endlessly. He refuses to star in a film, just because there are no fights, dances, or punch dialogue. When this group of aspirant filmmakers visit him, he’s kind enough to give them another appointment…which falls four years later! 

The latest addition to this list is Sharaf U Dheen’s hilarious alter ego, Sumith Raghavan. He calls himself  “Young Prince” and is admittedly one of Malayalam's most notorious “Nepo Baby”. He is the primary obstacle to the film’s hero (Jayaram) and his son (Kalidas) as they finally make their entry into the movie business. Sharaf is hilarious as this star, and even his shift to the manipulative mastermind is done so subtly that you do not feel like hating him through it. The film’s tone changes the moment he arrives, and we find it hard to look away from him whenever he appears on screen.

India’s concert calender in 2026 is set for a serious upgrade as Anyma, one of the biggest names in electronic music is set to make his debut in Mumbai on November 21, 2026, at Mumbai’s Mahalaxmi Racecourse. 

Conceived by American-born Italian artist Matteo Milleri, Anyma is not merely a DJ alias but an audiovisual universe. Since launching the project in 2021, Milleri has built a body of work that integrates melodic techno beats with concept digital storytelling. His Genesys trilogy 

Genesys (2023), Genesys II (2024) and The End of Genesys (2025) 

established him as one of the most promising architects of cinematic techno. Each album functioned as a chapter in a larger story. Tracks were not standalone sonic tunes, but part of a cinematic progression scored with deliberate emotional pacing. The visual counterparts, hyperreal digital avatars, bio-mechanical landscapes and recurring characters have transformed live sets into unfolding narratives.

The scale of his recent milestones underscores why the India debut carries weight. In 2025, Anyma became the first electronic artist to hold a residency at Sphere in Las Vegas, staging a cybernetic opera-style production that drew over 200,000 attendees across 12 dates. He has performed his two-part Quantum Genesys show at the Great Pyramids of Giza, held a sold-out summer residency at Ibiza’s UNVRS and headlined major global stages including Ultra Miami and the League of Legends World Championship opening ceremony in Chengdu.

If Genesys explored origin, evolution and conclusion, ÆDEN signals rebirth. The title suggests a reimagined beginning, a new world constructed from the ashes of the previous narrative. Early international presentations of the show indicate a continuation of his immersive approach, but with expanded thematic scope and refined visual language.

Anyma Announces India Debut With ÆDEN Show in Mumbai

Bollywood actor-comedian Rajpal Yadav will remain in Tihar Jail in a ₹9 crore debt case as the next hearing in his bail plea has been posted for Monday (February 16). Yadav, one of the most loved comedians of Indian cinema, spent a week in Tihar Jail after surrendering on February 5. The Delhi High Court had earlier rejected his plea for more time in a long-running cheque bounce and defaulting case. On Thursday (February 12), the court issued notice to the respondent on the bail plea filed by the actor, fixing the matter for hearing on Monday, 

During the hearing, Yadav's counsel informed the court that around ₹2 crore is still left to be settled. The same, they promised, shall be taken care of, the report stated.

Amid his troubles, the Bollywood film fraternity rallied behind Yadav with offers of financial support. Celebrities like Mika Singh, Sonu Sood and Guru Randhawa have publicly pledged their support, while leading actors like Salman Khan and Ajay Devgn have also reached out in his hour of need. 

"People have taken the initiative to help," Yadav's manager, Goldie Jain, had earlier told news agency PTI. "They all have promised to help, it doesn't mean financially only. It's true that (Salman, Ajay, Varun and David Dhawan) these people have called. In what capacity and how they will help, that is yet to be known. They are all well-wishers of Rajpal bhai.” 

The Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) has also appealed to producers, directors and actors to extend their moral and financial support to Yadav. 

Rajpal Yadav’s financial woes stem from a loan taken for his 2010 directorial debut Ata Pata Laapata, which failed at the box office. According to court records, Yadav borrowed ₹5 crore from Murali Projects Pvt Ltd in 2010 to finance the film. The amount was not repaid after the film’s commercial failure, leading to a prolonged legal battle between the two parties. By 2024, the outstanding liability had risen to approximately ₹9 crore, factoring in interest and other dues.

In 2018, a magistrate court convicted Rajpal Yadav and his wife in the case. The conviction was later upheld by a sessions court in 2019. Following this, Yadav approached the Delhi High Court, challenging the earlier rulings and seeking relief against the conviction.

Producer Bhushan Kumar says the box-office collection of his latest war epic 

is "organic" as the team, led by T-Series and actor Sunny Deol, doesn't believe in fudging the numbers for perception.

While there has been a lot of chatter regarding manipulated box-office collections, Kumar says 

was "clean" since the time the makers opened bookings ahead of the film's January 23 release.

At a special press meet held to celebrate the film’s success, Kumar said he would not comment on how others in the industry report their numbers, but added that the practice of inflating box-office collections must be called out.

"To each their own. Certain things shouldn't happen, including the way (inflated) numbers are announced. When we opened the advance booking, even Sunny sir asked me, 'Our film's numbers are normal, right?' Because that's what you keep hearing about everywhere, how ticklets are being bought to promote the film," Kumar said.

The producer added that people can catch if there is manipulation of any kind. "We at T Series don't even think of indulging in this. I told Sunny sir as well, that all our numbers are organic. And one can catch something fishy. I am happy that this is our film with real numbers, which people have loved and appreciated so much."

According to the official numbers released by the makers, the global gross of 

stands at over ₹460 crore. The film also starred Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh and Ahan Shetty.

The makers shared a brief on-set video featuring Faasil interacting with the crew. The film stars Atharvaa Murali in the lead role, alongside Preity Mukhundhan and Kayadu Lohar.

 have firmed up security around their Mumbai residence following an alleged extortion threat to Singh on Tuesday, February 10.

According to reports, Ranveer Singh received a threat via WhatsApp from unidentified persons. The message, reportedly sent as a voice note, allegedly demanded a substantial sum of money. Authorities confirmed that Singh alerted local law enforcement after receiving the message. Officials from the Mumbai Police are examining digital evidence and attempting to corroborate the sender’s identity. However, no arrests have been reported so far.

Meanwhile, an official communication from Singh and Padukone's housing complex to the Dadar Police Station stated that armed personnel have been deployed outside the property as a precautionary measure. Authorities have also advised residents in the area to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity.

Shahid Kapoor Confirms 'Farzi' Season 2: 'The Fakers Are Back At It'

, its upcoming Hindi action-drama starring Anil Kapoor, will premiere globally on March 5. The film will stream exclusively on the platform in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu across India and in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide.

Directed by Suresh Triveni, whose previous credits include 

, the film is positioned as a character-driven action drama set in the Indian heartland. It is produced by Vikram Malhotra, Anil Kapoor and Triveni under the banner of Opening Image Films, in association with Anil Kapoor Film & Communication Network (AKFCN). The screenplay is written by Triveni and Prajwal Chandrashekar.

 centres on Arjun Maurya, a retired army officer attempting to adjust to civilian life after years of service. As he navigates a society he finds increasingly unfamiliar, Maurya confronts crime and corruption while also dealing with strained personal relationships. At its core, the film explores questions of duty, honour and generational conflict, anchored by a father-daughter dynamic between Kapoor’s character and Radhikka Madan’s role.

The supporting cast includes Saurabh Shukla, Aditya Rawal, Faisal Malik and Mona Singh in pivotal parts.

Nikhil Madhok, director and head of Originals at Prime Video India, said the film combines large-scale action with an emotional family story and described Kapoor’s performance as central to its impact. Producer Vikram Malhotra noted that the character of Subedaar Arjun Maurya is shaped by discipline and sacrifice, and that the collaboration between the production team and Prime Video helped realise the film’s scale and setting.

In the official teaser for the Anil Kapoor-led show announces, "THEY F*****D WITH THE WRONG MAN" just as the teaser positions Kapoor as Subedaar.
