The actor was also seen in Malayalam film 'Maine Pyar Kiya', an Onam release.
After gaining a following of his own for his role in Pradeep Ranganathan’s superhit romcom Dude, actor Hridhu Haroon will soon be seen in his own solo Tamil film, Texas Tiger. He had previously acted as the lead in the Malayalam film Maine Pyar Kiya this year. He has also done Thugs in Tamil in 2023. He also gained critical acclaim for acting in the Grand Prix-winning Payal Kapadia drama, All We Imagine as Light. He began his career with the show Crash Course in 2022.
The wacky first look features the actor holding a microphone as both his sides are lined with various musical instruments, such as a guitar, keyboard, trumpet and saxophone. His appearance also suggests that he could be playing the role of a star performer, capable of playing all of these instruments. The look also hints at a comedic tone, apart from the musical setting. He also appears to be smoking two cigarettes at once in this poster. It is designed in the form of an Instagram post, and what adds to the intrigue is the caption on it, which reads, “Your Hate Is My Fame. Your Troll Is My Tune.” The hashtag on this post reads, “Controversial Music.”
According to a release, Texas Tiger is written and directed by Selvah Kumar Thirumaran, who earlier made the Tamil film Family Padam. The musical entertainer is set against the urban backdrop of Chennai, and it stars Hridhu and Samyuktha Vishwanathan (Mr Bhaarath, I’m a Game) in the lead roles.
The film's cast includes Rohini Molleti, Sachana, Wafa Khatheeja, Peter K, Parthiban Kumar, Anthony Daasan and Samyutha Shan. It has music by Osho Venkat, cinematography by Vishnu Mani Vadivu, and editing by Praveen Antony. Texas Tiger is being produced by Balaji Kumar, Parthiban Kumar, Selvah Kumar Thirumaran and Sujith under the UK Squad banner.
