Huma Qureshi Revealed as Protagonist Baby KarMarKar in 'Baby Do Die Do'

Saleem Siblings, the makers of the upcoming neo-noir action film Baby Do Die Do, have released a character introduction video unveiling actor Huma Qureshi as Baby KarMarKar, the film’s protagonist. Directed by Nachiket Samant, the film is scheduled to release in theatres on July 3. The makers have announced that a teaser for the film will be released shortly.

Presented as an animated short, the character introduction follows the search for a mysterious killer linked to a series of murders across Mumbai. The video shows police authorities and the media attempting to identify the person behind the crimes, while a woman carrying a red umbrella moves through the city unnoticed.

The mystery continues through the video until a voiceover states, “My sister is the killer. Don’t tell her that I told you this.” The final moments reveal Qureshi as Baby KarMarKar, whom the makers describe as India’s first desi hitwoman.

The film also stars Sikandar Kher, Chunky Pandey, Seema Pahwa, Vidya Malvade and Himanshu Malik in supporting roles. Based on a story by Jasmeet K Reen and Parveez Shaikh, the film is co-written by Gaurav Sharma and director Nachiket Samant. The film marks the latest production from Saleem Siblings, the banner founded by siblings Huma Qureshi and Saqib Saleem.

Qureshi was last seen in the third season of the true-crime Hindi series Delhi Crime, starring Shefali Shah and Rasika Dugal. She also starred in Maharani, a four-season Hindi political drama alongside Siddhi Malviya and Atroliya Uday. Qureshi is also part of the star-studded cast of the upcoming Kannada action thriller Toxic, which stars Yash, Nayanthara and Kiara Advani. The film is currently awaiting a new release date after being postponed.

Baby Do Die Do is set to arrive in cinemas on July 3, 2026.
