Kangana Ranaut Slams Kriti Sanon’s Rakhi Commercial; Calls Advert 'Intentionally Creepy'

Kriti Sanon recently appeared in a jewellery advertisement by an Indian fine-jewellery brand, anchored around the occasion of Raksha Bandhan, which immediately became the center of heated debate around her outfit choice.

Now actor-politician Kangana Ranaut has expressed her views on the advertisement, which featured Sanon wearing an Indo-Western outfit: a bralette-style blouse and a sleeveless cape-like shrug, and a scene which showed her tying a rakhi to a dog.

While the advertisement was intended to put a modern spin on the occasion, it instead enraged viewers who argued that Sanon's outfit was inappropriate, with comments also suggesting it hurt religious sentiments.

Ranaut took to Instagram with a brief comment and a few questions surrounding the controversy. In her story, she wrote:

"It's a wonderful time to be a woman, our closets are full of variety of clothes, today's woman is a global woman, from cocktail dresses to lehnga cholis, jeans to saris, bikins to salwar kameez, from all the options that are available to us today why would you tie your brother a Rakhi in your bikini/ undergarments? Where are all your styling options? Ha ha the advert looks intentionally creepy!"

On the film front, Sanon is having a great run as she earned praised for her last film, Cocktail 2, while Kangana Ranaut most recently headlined Manoj Tapadia's Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata.
