Actor-comedian Kapil Sharma is returning to the big screen with Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2, the sequel to his 2015 comedy hit. The film is scheduled to release on December 12, 2025.
The makers released a motion poster featuring Sharma and his four brides, teasing the film’s theme of comedy and chaos. In the poster, Sharma appears as a groom riding a doli, while his four brides—played by Hira Warina, Tridha Choudhary, Parul Gulati, and Ayesha Khan—lift him up, leaving co-star Manjot Singh visibly shocked. The teaser hints at a continuation of the original film’s premise, where one man juggles multiple marriages.
Directed by Anukalp Goswami, Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2 is produced by Ratan Jain, Ganesh Jain, and Abbas-Mustan under the banners of Venus Worldwide Entertainment and Abbas Mustan Film Production. The film is pegged as a full-blown “shaadi-comedy,” promising “double the fun with four times the trouble.”
Kapil Sharma, who recently completed the third season of The Great Indian Kapil Show on Netflix, is returning to feature films after 2024's Crew. Before that, he was seen in Nandita Das's critically acclaimed drama Zwigato. The stand-up comedian and popular television host had made his acting debut in Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon (2015). The film was directed by Abbas-Mustan and also starred Sai Lokur, Manjari Fadnis, Simran Kaur Mundi, Elli Avram. Arbaaz Khan, Varun Sharma, Supriya Pathak and others. Made on a budget of ₹17 crore, the comedy was a draw at the box-office, earning around ₹70 crore.
"Comedy is a very serious business," Kapil had said in an interview during the release of Zwigato, an emotional drama that cast him against type as a humble food delivery agent. "When I do comedy, people wonder if I can act too. Comedy is very difficult. People know me for my comedy shows and now they will see me in a different avatar."
