The alleged incident is believed to have taken place when Vincy Aloshious and Shine Tom Chacko were shooting for the film 'Soothravakyam', which went on floors last year.
Malayalam film actor Shine Tom Chacko has been accused of consuming drugs and misbehaving with a female co-star on a film set. The incident gained attention two days ago when actor Vincy Aloshious shared her harrowing experience without naming the accused. However, on Thursday, she took a significant step by filing formal complaints with the Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) of the film and the Association of Malayalam Movie Artistes (AMMA), directly naming Chacko.
The alleged incident is believed to have taken place when Aloshious and Chacko were shooting for the film Soothravakyam, which went on floors last year.
The development comes two days after Aloshious posted a video on her social media, narrating how a male star tried to misbehave under the guise of helping her on a set.
"When I had a problem with my dress, I went to correct it. He said, ‘I will also come and correct it for you.’ He said this in front of everyone. It was very difficult to go ahead with the shoot." In the same video, the actor alleged that the male star was consuming drugs on the set, of which she was a witness.
Aloshious said, "When we were practising a scene, he was spitting some kind of white powder onto the table. It was very evident that he was using drugs on the film set." Despite alerting the production, no action was taken against Chacko as he was the lead star of the movie, she claimed.

In 2015, Chacko was arrested for allegedly possessing narcotics, following which a case under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substance Act was registered against him. Eralier this year in February, he was acquitted by the court from all the charges.
According to The Hindu, Chacko was reportedly caught on CCTV footage, fleeing a hotel in Ernakulam during a raid by the District Anti-Narcotics Special Action Force (DANSAF). The publication quoted Excise Minister MB Rajesh, who said that the government has taken a "serious view" of the allegations, which are currently under investigation.
