Nayanthara is a vision in yellow in her first look from Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu. Directed by Anil Ravipudi (Sankranthiki Vasthunam), the upcoming Telugu film pairs Nayanthara with Chiranjeevi. This is the actor's third consecutive film with Chiranjeevi, following Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy and Godfather.

Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu has been described as a wholesome family entertainer. Introducing Nayanthara's character from the film, director Anil Ravipudi wrote on X, "Introducing #Nayanthara garu as ‘SASIREKHA’ in our #ManaShankaraVaraPrasadGaru It’s an absolute joy to have her in this beautiful role and to work with her. As per reports, a promotional song from the film featuring Chiranjeevi and Nayanthara will be released tomorrow on Dussehra. Sahu Garapati and Sushmita Konidela are producing MSG under their banners Shine Screens and Goldbox Entertainment. The film will arrive in theatres on Sankranthi, 2026.

Nayanthara had a single release in 2025, cricket drama Test co-starring R Madhavan. Her next is the Tamil-Malayalam bilingual Dear Students.

Earlier this year, Nayanthara issued a statement requesting her fans and well-wishers to only refer to her by name, and not use the sobriquet of "Lady Superstar". The actor felt such honorics distance her from her craft and identity.

"Many of you have graciously referred to me as “Lady Superstar,” a title born out of your immense affection. I owe you all a lot for crowning me with such a valuable title. However, I humbly request you all to call me “Nayanthara.” This is because I feel that the name is what I hold closest to my heart. It represents who I am—not just as an actor but as an individual," the actor wrote, adding, "Titles and accolades are priceless, but they can sometimes create an image that separates us from our work, our craft, and the unconditional bond we share with you—the audience.
