Tom Cruise's latest actioner Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning is off to a good start at the Indian box-office as it opened across cinema halls on Saturday. Premiering in India ahead of its global opening next week, the film recorded a good two-day weekend total, setting it up for a steady week ahead.

According to trade estimates, Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning had an opening of around ₹16.50 crore on Saturday, followed by a ₹17 crore Sunday, taking the two-day total to ₹33.50 crore, as reported by industry tracker Sacnilk.

The film had an unconventional Saturday release and hence had to miss out on the traditional weekend window, which would have significantly boosted its numbers. With its third day now on Monday, Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning will see a dip in its numbers.

The movie, the last in the globally-loved action franchise, opened to good reviews and competed at the box office with Final Destination: Bloodlines, which minted a little over ₹20 crore at the Indian box office in four days.

Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning will have a clear window now with the only new release being Bhool Chuk Maaf, which opens this Friday. The new instalment will now hope to break the lifetime record of Mission Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One, which had netted around ₹110 crore in 2023.
