Fresh off headlining Srikanth Odela’s period action drama The Paradise, Nani is reportedly preparing an emotional love story with Tamil filmmaker C Prem Kumar, according to Telugu360 and Movies Singapore.

The reports surface after the actor confirmed that a romance is next on his slate. Neither Nani nor the director has made an announcement, so the claims remain unverified. Prem Kumar is known for 96 (2018) and Meiyazhagan (2024).

In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter India, Nani said the romance would follow Bloody Romeo. He described the story as subtle and sweet, pitched at viewers across age groups. The actor noted that kids tend to be first to greet him at public appearances, and said he was glad to headline a film they can enjoy.

Bloody Romeo, directed by Sujeeth, is billed as a stylish action comedy. Nani is expected to play a man with dual identities, a chef and an outlaw, and has promised that the action will avoid excessive rawness or gore. Preity Mukundhan and Prithviraj Sukumaran are reportedly part of the cast. The makers recently shared a behind-the-scenes glimpse revealing the actor’s fresh hairstyle.
