She added that Fahadh wants to do a lot of other things in his life these days, as opposed to ten years ago when it was “all about cinema”
The secret sauce of actor couple Nazriya Nazim and Fahadh Faasil in ensuring a smooth partnership is letting themselves be. Nazriya, who married Fahadh in 2014 after a year of dating him, says at home, her actor-husband is not so much an introvert, which is his public image.
In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter India, Nazriya was asked about the differences in their personalities, and whether it helps that she is the more extroverted one of the two.
"He is not at all an introvert at home! But this works because there are days when we choose to be introverts and extroverts! There is a balance. According to him, when there are more than seven people in a room, that's a big party. But if you ask his friends, they will tell you he is not an introvert. He will always be a storyteller and narrating stories when we are around," she said.
Fahadh Faasil may have charmed the viewers beyond Malayalam cinema with his versatility, but there is one space where he cannot act like the characters he is portraying on set: his home.
"He doesn't have the option to come home with (his characters) anymore. We have reached this middle ground now. If he comes home like Shammi from Kumbalangi Nights, he will get it from me!" she joked.
Nazriya added that the change reflects the headspace of the 42-year-old actor, whose life is "not just about cinema" anymore. "Fahadh wants to do a lot of other things. Ten years ago, it was probably all about cinema, but now it is not like that," she added.
Fahadah Faasli, who has had a blockbuster year at the movies with his Malayalam action comedy Aavesham and Rajinikanth-led Tamil Vettaiyan, will be next seen in Pushpa 2: The Rule. The Allu Arjun actioner, directed by Sukumar, will hit big screens on December 5.
