Prabhas' Film 'The Raja Saab' Delayed; Director Maruthi Shares Post-Production Updates
'The Raja Saab' team is working relentlessly to finish its post-production, even as some songs await filming.
Fans of superstar Prabhas might have to wait a little longer to see him on the big screen again as his next, The Raja Saab, is still in the post-production stage. The horror-comedy was initially announced to open globally in April.
The film's director, Maruthi, took to X and posted pictures from his visit to Tirupathi. A Prabhas fan in the comments asked the filmmaker to share an update, if the film will release in November 2025 or next year. There has been no official new release date announcement from the makers as of yet.
The director said the "accurate" information on the release can only be provided by the production house People Media Factory and tweeted, "Expecting CG output soon, once those are verified, makers will announce the release date. Many external things will be involved in this process, it's not a one-man word or work, so things will take time. Be a little patient, everyone is giving their best to match your expectations ❤️"
The director then gave more details regarding The Raja Saab and said the post-production team is working relentlessly to finish the film, even as some songs still await filming. Once the songs are shot, the makers might start dropping singles.
"We are left with a little talkie part and songs. Many CGI studios are involved in our film; so far the output received from a few studios is exciting, expecting the same from other studios. If songs shoot will complete singles also will entertain you, I am also waiting to show you guys our hard work 🫶," he added.
The film reportedly stars Prabhas in a double role and will also feature actors Nidhhi Agerwal and Malavika Mohanan. Prabhas was last seen on the big screen in Kalki 2898 AD, co-starring Deepika Padukone and Amitabh Bachchan.
