Meanwhile, Madhavan's GDN, his upcoming biopic on GD Naidu, wrapped up filming recently. The film, directed by Krishnakumar Ramakumar, is aiming for a summer 2026 release. In the first look at GDN, the much-anticipated biopic on visionary industrialist and inventor G.D. Naidu, R. Madhavan was seen in a striking transformation as Naidu. Often hailed as the “Edison of India” and “The Wealth Creator of Coimbatore,” G.D. Naidu’s groundbreaking contributions to science, technology, and public service left a mark on India’s industrial history. His enduring legacy continues to be celebrated — most notably with Tamil Nadu’s longest bridge bearing his name. The timing of the first look’s release on October 26 serves as a fitting homage to his pioneering spirit.
