R. Madhavan To Now Host Farooq Shaikh's Iconic Talk Show ‘Jeena Isi Ka Naam Hai’

The late actor Farooq Shaikh's popular talk show Jeena Isi Ka Naam Hai will now be hosted by actor R. Madhavan. The talk show was one of the most popular ones in the early 2000s.

Originally telecast on ZEE TV, Jeena Isi Ka Naam Hai was an insight into the candid sides of Bollywood celebrities personally and professionally. The show is now set to make a comeback on the OTT platform ZEE5.

In a statement, Madhavan opened up about hosting the show and its relevance in today's age of social media. He said: “Today, we have unprecedented access to the lives of people we admire. We know what they do, where they go, and what they share—but we rarely get to know who they truly are. That’s what makes Jeena Isi Ka Naam Hai so relevant even today,”

He further expressed that the original show, hosted by Shaikh, curated a "rare space" for "deeply human conversations" that invited a look into the persona beyond their public persona.

"To carry forward a legacy like that is both an honour and a responsibility. As Jeena Isi Ka Naam Hai returns on Zee 5, our endeavour is to preserve the soul of the original while making it resonate with today’s audiences,” said Madhavan.

The actor also hinted at the guest list in the show's 2.0 version, referring to these personalities as legends who have raised India to the global stage. The show will also reveal the "defining moments, relationships and untold stories that shaped their journeys because beyond every achievement and every headline is a human story waiting to be told," he added.

The release date of Jeena Isi Ka Naam Hai has not been announced yet.
