The makers of the wrestling-based action movie, Chatha Pacha, launched a new character poster introducing Roshan Mathew’s character in the movie titled Vetri. This launch coincided with the actor completing 10 years in the movie industry with a career that spans Malayalam, Tamil and Hindi languages. A release read, “Roshan's Vetri suggests a persona carved from the same raw energy that defines Chatha Pacha: unpredictable, sharp-edged, and central to the storm the narrative is building toward.”

The shoot of the highly anticipated Chatha Pacha was wrapped up amidst rumours of Megastar Mammootty joining the film’s sets on its final days to play a cameo in early November. The film, based around a homegrown wrestling league, stars Arjun Ashokan, Roshan Mathew, Siddique, and Sai Kumar, among many other actors. Advaith Nayar is directing it.  The film’s producer wrote an emotional note on Instagram speaking about the challenging two-year period that led to the film’s completion. Shihan Shoukath wrote, “…only a few know this, but behind the cameras, I was living through the most intense months of my life. On day 60 of the shoot, I became a father. On day 30, my family got news that shook our lives. I was catching flights between hospitals and sets, trying to hold everything together. It felt like I was playing life on the hardest difficulty with no pause button. But we pushed through, and we showed up. We fought for every single frame. And the brotherhood we built on set, the friendships, the chaos, the love for what we were building, helped me get through every single one of those scary days. this crew and cast lit up the darkness, again and again.”

The film also features Vishak Nair, Ishan Shoukath, and many other prominent actors from the industry, with each of them adding their own charge to the rising tempest. The legendary trio Shankar–Ehsaan–Loy make their much-anticipated Malayalam debut, with Mujeeb Majeed handling the background score. Cinematography is by Anend C. Chandran, while Kalai Kingson crafts the action. The screenplay is by Sanoop Thykoodam, and Praveen Prabhakar handles the editing. Lyrics are written by Vinayak Sasikumar.

With major industry forces like Dharma Productions, Mythri Movie Makers, Wayfarer Films, PVR INOX, and The Plot Pictures rallying behind its release, Chatha Pacha: The Ring of Rowdies is on course to become one of the biggest releases of the coming year. The film is gearing up for a theatrical release in January 2026.
