Shah Rukh Khan celebrated his birthday with his fans in Mumbai.
It was the day of the King. Superstar Shah Rukh Khan marked his 60th birthday on Sunday by celebrating with hundreds of fans who had travelled from across India to be part of the festivities in Bandra, Mumbai. The actor, who brought in his milestone birthday with family and close friends at his Alibaug farmhouse, returned to Mumbai in the afternoon to greet his fans.
Hundreds of fans had gathered outside his iconic sea-facing bungalow Mannat, currently undergoing renovation, to catch a glimpse of Khan, who arrived amid heavy security. Khan has been greeting fans for years from a special platform built inside Mannat, but the annual ritual was interrupted last evening.
The star took to X and wrote that he was "advised by authorities" to not step out and greet his fans, who had started trickling in outside his property since morning to catch his glimpse.
"My deepest apologies to all of you but have been informed that it is for the overall safety of everyone due to crowd control issues. Thank you for understanding and believe me… I will miss seeing you more than you will. Was looking forward to seeing you all and sharing love. Love u all," he wrote.

Though the Mannat greeting was scrapped, Khan swiftly headed to an auditorium in Bandra for the special birthday event "SRK Day".
Dressed in a light beige jacket over a black t-shirt, and wearing a black skull-print beanie, Khan cut cakes with his team and fans and broke into a small, impromptu dance on a chartbuster song from Jawan.
The actor also saw the title announcement of his next, King, with his fans and sat for a quick Q&A session, where he spoke about his films, co-stars, and highlighted how the only validation he seeks today is that of his fans.
Directed by Siddharth Anand—who helmed Khan’s 2023 blockbuster Pathaan—King stars Khan as a vengeful assassin and an internationally wanted criminal. The film boasts a star-studded ensemble including Deepika Padukone, Suhana Khan (Khan’s daughter), Abhishek Bachchan, Anil Kapoor, and Jackie Shroff. Arshad Warsi, Jaideep Ahlawat, and Abhay Varma are also in the cast, while Rani Mukerji, one of Khan’s oldest co-stars, will be seen in a special appearance.
