Ramya has been facing abusive trolls from the fans of actor Darshan
Kannada superstar Shivarajkumar has come out in support of fellow actor Ramya, days after she filed a complaint with the Commissioner of Police, Bengaluru, against fans of actor Darshan. According to a report in The Hindu, Ramya had slammed these fans for sending her derogatory online messages.
The online attacks against her began after Ramya had shared news reports related to Supreme Court proceedings against actor Dharshan in the murder case of Renukaswamy, in which he is one of the accused.
In an online post, Shivarajkumar called out the nature of these abusive comments and said that the language being used against Ramya was not how anyone ought to be speaking to a woman. He added that women need to be respected as “mothers, sisters, daughters and, more importantly, as individuals”.
Shivarajkumar supported Ramya’s decision to seek police action and in response, she thanked Shivarajkumar and wife Geetha. After filing the complaint, Ramya had spoken up about what she was being subjected to and how it was similar to what Renukaswamy is alleged to have done to Pavitra Gowda in Darshan’s case.
In news related to Shivarajkumar, the first look from his upcoming film 666 Operation Dream Theatre was released earlier this month. "Unveiling The First Look Of @NimmaShivanna from my next #666OperationDreamTheatre. #King #666ODT," wrote Hemanth M Rao, the director of the film. In the poster, the actor is clad in a dapper tuxedo, with a small pistol in his hand.
666 Operation Dream Theatre is produced by Dr Vaishak J Gowda under his Vaishak J Films banner. The film, co-starring Daali Dhananjaya and Shiva Rajkumar, is said to be a thriller.
