Superstar Salman Khan's latest Eid outing Sikandar has been underperforming at the box office as the actioner failed to register any major growth in two days. The Sajid Nadiadwala-backed film opened on Sunday to poor reviews and showed a minimal jump on Monday (Eid holiday).

According to the official figures, Sikandar minted ₹ 63 core in two days. While the film recorded an average opening day figure of ₹ 30 crore on Sunday, the AR Murugadoss directorial couldn't cash in on the holiday factor as it netted ₹33 crore on Monday, taking the two-day India total to ₹ 63 crore. The worldwide gross of the film stands at ₹105 cr.

The Eid holiday numbers for Sikandar are way below expectations, as the film should have ideally recorded collections over ₹45 core on a holiday. The film also suffered from an underwhelming start on Sunday, and the poor word of mouth further dented its potential.

The film did gain lost ground on Eid, as mass belts, which is Khan's stronghold, registered good growth. But the jump wasn't huge; everywhere else, especially the urban centres, Sikandar fell flat.

The film is likely to record collections in a similar range on Tuesday, on account of Basi Eid, before it finally faces a non-holiday run from Thursday. As per the current trend, Sikandar will aim to finish a little over ₹100 crore at the domestic box-office.

This will be Khan's third consecutive underperforming film post-pandemic, after films like Tiger 3 (2023) and Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan (2023).

Sikandar also stars Rashmika Mandanna, Sathyaraj, Kajal Aggarwal, Sharman Joshi and Prateik Babbar among others.
