The makers of the film released a small audio promo to mark Prabhas's birthday on October 23.
Hindi film star Vivek Oberoi has joined the world of Prabhas's Spirit. Director Sandeep Reddy Vanga released a brief audio promo of the film on October 23, marking the birthday of its lead star. "Happy Birthday Prabhas anna Presenting a 'SOUND-STORY' in five Indian languages straight from the heart, for every fan who’s felt his (fire)," the director wrote on X, along with links to the promos in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Kannada and Malayalam.
The promo, which begins to the sounds of rain and police sirens, goes on to introduce us to various characters. Prakash Raj and another police officer discuss a rogue IPS officer and academy topper who seems to be a new entrant to the prison. "I hate civilian costumes in my compound. It's either khakis or khakis," Prakash Raj says. To which Prabhas responds, "Mr Superintendent, I just have one bad habit since childhood," before the video abruptly concludes.
The video also announces the inclusion of Vivek Oberoi in the film's cast. The film is led by an ensemble cast of Prabhas, Triptii Dimri, Vivek Oberoi, Kanchana, and Prakash Raj, and is produced by T-Series Films & Bhadrakali Pictures Production. "#OneBadHabit is all it takes to get you #inspiritmode. And what a powerful 'SOUND-STORY' that was! Happy Birthday to the Rebel Star, #Prabhas! Hoping the surprise lifted your spirits! Super kicked about bringing this action to life with your unmatched magic @imvangasandeep!" Oberoi wrote on X.
It is also reported that the sons of Telugu cinema stalwarts, Trivikram Srinivas and Ravi Teja, Rishie Manoj and Mahadhan Bhupathiraju, are part of the film's direction team as assistant directors.
Deepika Padukone was initially announced as the film's female lead, but she exited the project, citing work-hour issues. In response to the controversy, Spirit director Sandeep Reddy Vanga shared his perspective on social media without naming Padukone, expressing his frustration over creative disagreements and accusing the actor of sharing details about the project prematurely. Triptii Dimri has since been announced as Padukone's replacement.
