Filmmaker Aanand L Rai’s Tere Ishk Mein is gearing up for a grand release on November 28, with the Dhanush-Kriti Sanon starrer getting a smooth clearance from the Central Board of Film Certification.

According to the makers, the CBFC passed the intense romantic drama, which includes action sequences, without any visual cuts. Only a dialogue featuring one word was modified by the censors. With that change incorporated, Tere Ishk Mein received a U/A (16+) certificate on November 24. The film's runtime is 169.17 minutes, which totals 2 hours, 49 minutes and 17 seconds.

Backed by Bhushan Kumar, with Rai and Himanshu Sharma also producing, Tere Ishk Mein is also gaining momentum in ticket sales, with its booking off to a strong start.

According to trade insiders, the assets of the film, especially AR Rahman's music, have landed well, reaching their target audiences. As of Wednesday, the film is confirmed for a double-digit opening, which could be in the range of ₹12-15 crore.

Dhanush made his Bollywood debut with Rai's Raanjhanaa in 2013, which co-starred Sonam Kapoor. The actor then collaborated with the filmmaker for the 2021 romantic fantasy comedy drama Atrangi Re, which also starred Akshay Kumar and Sara Ali Khan.

Billed as a spiritual successor to the world of Raanjhanaa, the film aims to delve "deeper into themes of unrequited love, longing, and emotional conflict."

Previously, Rai had called the film a raw, intense, and emotionally charged love story. “Ishk is only about surrender — letting it heal you, hurt you, and change you," the filmmaker had said in a statement about the film, which sees Dhanush and Sanon together for the first time.

Written by Himanshu Sharma and Neeraj Yadav, with lyrics by Irshad Kamil, Tere Ishk Mein will release worldwide in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu this Friday.
