'The Ba***ds Of Bollywood’ Premiere: Shah Rukh Khan, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt Turn Up For Aryan Khan’s Debut Series
Produced by Red Chillies Entertainment, The Ba***Ds of Bollywood streams on Netflix from September 18.
Unsurprisingly, the premiere of Aryan Khan’s directorial debut series, The Ba*ds of Bollywood, was a starry affair. Held on Wednesday (September 17) at the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre (NMACC) in Mumbai, the grand red-carpet gala drew some of the biggest names in the industry and beyond.
Aryan, looking dapper in a chic leather jacket, walked the red-carpet with his parents Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan. His siblings Suhana and AbRam Khan were also present to cheer their brother. Furthermore, from the film world, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Kajol, Ajay Devgn, Madhuri Dixit Nene, Tamannaah Bhatia, Ananya Panday, Khushi Kapoor and others added glamour to the premiere.
The fashion-forward Ambani family — Nita Ambani, Mukesh Ambani, Akash Ambani, Shloka Mehta and Radhika Merchant — made a notable appearance on the red carpet. Also present were the cast and crew of The Ba***ds of Bollywood including lead actor Lakshya and Sahher Bambba.
The Ba***Ds of Bollywood is a satire on the mad and manic world of the Hindi film industry. Billed as a provocative, genre-bending series, it is written by Aryan along with Bilal Siddiqi and Manav Chauhan. The show features an ensemble cast led by Bobby Deol, Lakshya and Sahher Bambba. They are joined by Manoj Pahwa, Mona Singh, Manish Chaudhari, Raghav Juyal, Anya Singh, Vijayant Kohli, and Gautami Kapoor.
The series also boasts exciting cameos by Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Aamir Khan, Ranveer Singh, Karan Johar and others.
The official synopsis of the Aryan’s series reads, “An ambitious outsider and his friends navigate the larger-than-life yet uncertain world of Bollywood. The series blends self-aware humour with a high-stakes narrative — and promises a host of unforgettable cameos, blockbuster thrills and an adventurous ride into the world of Indian cinema.”
