This week's streaming slate spans genres, with a Hindi courtroom drama, a Telugu sports film making its digital debut, a Malayalam kabaddi film arriving on OTT, the fifth season of a British comedy and a Malayalam documentary series on Kerala's football culture.

Ikka

Sunny Deol plays Arjun Mehra, a lawyer who has built his career on principle and is known in legal circles by the nickname "Ikka." The film, set to release on July 10, follows what happens when he is compelled to defend Shauryamann Gaur, played by Akshaye Khanna,in a high-profile attempted murder case. As the trial progresses, his professional obligations and personal life come under increasing pressure. Tillotama Shome plays the public prosecutor opposing Mehra in court, and Dia Mirza plays his wife. The film is directed by Siddharth P. Malhotra and marks Deol's first project made directly for a streaming platform. It also marks his first on-screen pairing with Khanna since J.P. Dutta's war film Border in 1997.

Malayalam

Balti

Set along the Kerala-Tamil Nadu border, Balti follows four kabaddi players whose friendship is tested by gang rivalries, love and betrayal. Shane Nigam plays Udhayan, known as Balti, with Shanthanu Bhagyaraj, Preethi Asrani, Alphonse Puthren and Poornima Indrajith in supporting roles. The film is written and directed by Unni Sivalingam and was shot simultaneously in Malayalam and Tamil. The film was released in theatres on September 26, 2025. It will be available on SonyLIV in Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Hindi on July 10.


Land of Football

Land of Football is a Malayalam documentary series streaming on JioHotstar from July 10. It traces the culture of football in Kerala, from village-level grounds to the fan communities and generational traditions that have shaped the state's relationship with the sport. Kerala has long been considered India's most football-passionate region, and the series examines the people and history behind that reputation.

Telugu

Peddi

Based in a tribal village in Vizianagaram, the film follows Peddi (Ram Charan), an athlete who works as a cricketer for hire, as he trains as a wrestler to fight for his village's legal recognition after the suicide of a close friend. After a personal tragedy changes the course of his life, Peddi trains as a para-track athlete in pursuit of a larger goal for his community. The film also stars Janhvi Kapoor, Shiva Rajkumar, Jagapathi Babu, Divyenndu and Boman Irani. It is directed by Buchi Babu Sana with music by A.R. Rahman. The film will be available in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam from July 9, with a Hindi version to follow later.

Tamil

Parimala and Co.

This comedy-crime thriller is centred around a family tangled up in the aftermath of a murder, desperately trying to navigate a situation that spirals out of control, while maintaining their everyday lives. Parimala and Co. reunites Jayaram and Urvashi for the first time on-screen in nearly 20 years. The film, which released in theatres on June 5, comes to Zee5 on July 10.

Trying - Season 5

British comedy Trying returns for its fifth season with Esther Smith and Rafe Spall reprising their roles as Nikki and Jason, a couple who adopted two children, Princess and Tyler, in earlier seasons. This season centres on the unexpected arrival of the children's biological mother, Kat, at their doorstep. The season, which opens on July 8 on Apple TV, consists of eight episodes, with new installments dropping weekly till August 26.
