Vidaamuyarchi has raked in ₹93-95 crore globally within four days, cementing its place as the highest-grossing Tamil film of 2025 so far. Despite mixed reviews, the Ajith Kumar-starrer continues to pull audiences to theatres.
Ajith Kumar’s Vidaamuyarchi is showing resilience at the box office despite an initial slump. The action thriller, directed by Magizh Thirumeni, has amassed an estimated ₹93-95 crore worldwide in just four days, making it one of the highest-grossing Indian films of 2025 so far.
The film opened to an impressive ₹26 crore on Thursday, but saw a sharp drop in sales on Friday. However, a strong weekend performance has helped it regain momentum at the box office. According to trade reports from Sacnilk, Vidaamuyarchi earned ₹13.5 crore on Saturday and maintained similar numbers on Sunday.
Early estimates suggest that Monday collection stands at around ₹13 crore.

On the domestic front, the film has accumulated ₹62.75 crore, while its international earnings stand at approximately ₹32.3 crore. Though it is closing in on the ₹100 crore milestone, Vidaamuyarchi still trails behind Ajith’s previous film Thunivu, which had collected ₹67.4 crore domestically over its five-day opening run.
However, despite a Telugu-dubbed release, the film struggled in the Telugu market, collecting only ₹1.5 crore in four days. The Tamil version has been the driving force behind its earnings, with a strong 45.95% occupancy rate. Trade analysts suggest that mixed reviews and low-key promotions might have impacted its reach.
