Vikrant Massey to Play Sri Sri Ravi Shankar in 'White'
The film, produced by Siddharth Anand and Mahaveer Jain, explores how Indian spiritual wisdom helped end Colombia’s 52-year-long civil war.
Filmmaker-producer Siddharth Anand and producer Mahaveer Jain have announced their first collaboration on White — an international thriller that casts Vikrant Massey as the revered spiritual leader and peace ambassador, Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar.
Best known for helming intense, high-powered spectacles like Pathaan, War and Fighter, Anand will produce the film under his banner Marflix Pictures. He joins hands with Jain, who has backed projects like Uunchai and the upcoming NaagZilla, under Mahaveer Jain Films. Also on board is Peacecraft Pictures, with ad filmmaker Montoo Bassi making his feature directorial debut.
Deemed to be a gripping global drama with spiritual undercurrents, White aims to spotlight a largely overlooked yet remarkable chapter of modern peace-building — the role played by Gurudev in ending Colombia’s decades-long civil war. The narrative draws from real events that led to the resolution of one of the longest internal armed conflicts in recent history, and aims to explore how ancient Indian philosophies of non-violence and dialogue were instrumental in the process.
Production is set to kick off in July in Colombia, with the prep already underway. An international crew is being assembled to give the film a truly global texture, both in aesthetic and scope.
The casting of Vikrant Massey adds significant weight to the project. The actor, riding high on acclaim for 12th Fail and The Sabarmati Report, is known for his immersive performances and transformative approach to roles. His recent physical transformation — including a visibly spiritual look and longer hair — had already sparked industry chatter, now confirmed as preparation for White.
With White, Anand and Jain seem set to shift gears from commercial spectacle to profound storytelling — one rooted in real-world impact, yet designed for a wide global audience.
