‘Rocking Star’ Yash discusses upcoming projects and the future of the KGF franchise.
In an exclusive visit to the sets of Toxic, The Hollywood Reporter India had the chance to speak with actor Yash about his current projects and the much-anticipated KGF 3.
During the conversation, THR India Editor Anupama Chopra relayed a question from a "great admirer" of Yash, Indian cricketer Shubman Gill, who wants to know when KGF 3 is going to happen?”
Yash responded with assurance. “KGF 3 will happen for sure, like promised. But I'm focusing on these two projects (Toxic and Ramayana), and we keep talking about it. We have an idea, but we’ll do it once it is the right time. It's massive,” he said, adding that “it is also something which really needs all our attention. We don't want to encash on anything. Because the audience has given us enough. We're going to do it in a way which they'll be proud of — because that's a cult and a franchise that people celebrate.”
He added that he and director Prashanth Neel are actively discussing the film. “We'll come up with something when it's time.”
Yash went on to mention that he is a workaholic. “I can't sit at home. If I am sitting, it means there is a major reason. Otherwise, I wouldn't sit at home. I want to work. I want to be on sets. I want to make movies. If I'm sitting, it is just that it is taking so much time.”
As anticipation builds for KGF 3, Yash’s commitment to delivering a project that honours its legacy remains clear.
