The makers of 'Hanuman Ansh' shared a post on social media clarifying that only Swambhu Media Network, represented by Dr. Vishal Chaturvedi and Namrata G Singh, is authorized to handle the film's rights, publicity, and partnerships. This statement follows reports of internal conflicts over representation and rights, emphasizing that all decisions must be approved by the four producers through the official channel.
The makers of the devotional biopic Hanuman Ansh have issued a statement clarifying who is authorised to represent the film, following reports of differences behind the scenes.
The statement, shared on social media on November 2, was issued on behalf of Swambhu Media Network, the company behind Hanuman Ansh.
It opens with the line “Hanuman Ansh has one authorised channel.” The statement says the company is aware that an individual has been representing themselves as authorised to deal with the film’s rights, and clarifies that no individual holds that authority.
The clarification follows reports of friction between the makers and the producers over rights and publicity. Reports have stated that the conflict arose when some members of the team were unhappy with claims that one producer was receiving more prominence than the others during the film’s promotional run.
In the statement, Director Vishal Chaturvedi and producer Namrata G Singh are referred to as the Executive Directors of the film, through whom all coordinations must be carried. It explains that they are “solely authorised to direct public relations, marketing, awards and partnerships” on behalf of Swambhu Media Network, as well as any shareholder and IP engagement must be informed to Chaturvedi and Singh.
Regarding representing the film in any manner, publicly or privately, member of the film's cast and crew is required to coordinate with and seek confirmation from the Swambhu Media Network, the statement read.
According to the statement, Hanuman Ansh has four producers—Namrata G Singh, Dr Vishal Chaturvedi, Ragini Sona and Anupriya Nagar—and all rights to the film are jointly held by them. It states that decisions on publicity, awards, partnerships and rights, in India and internationally, require approval from all four producers and are to be routed exclusively through the company’s authorised channel.
The clarification follows reports of friction between the makers and the producers over rights and publicity. Reports have stated that the conflict arose when some members of the team were unhappy with claims that one producer was receiving more prominence than the others during the film’s promotional run.
The alleged conflicts have also led to discussions regarding the scope of the franchise. While no official announcement has been made about the same by the makers, producer Anupriya Nagar, who came on board the project during its post-production, had previously shared that the film was being planned to be a trilogy.
