Pradeep Ranganathan has turned producer with his new banner PR Show, unveiling debut project PRS01 through a launch video that introduces the cast and crew. Mamitha Baiju leads the film with Ashwath Marimuthu opposite her, in what appears to be an action-driven narrative. The Alpha Unit, a team of six filmmakers, directs from Pradeep’s story, with music by Sai Abhyankkar.
Actor-filmmaker Pradeep Ranganathan announced his entry into film production on July 6 with the launch of his banner PR Show and its first film, tentatively titled PRS01. The announcement was made through a launch video released on social media, which also introduced the film's cast, title and technical team.
The film stars Mamitha Baiju in the lead role, with Ashwath Marimuthu opposite her. The launch video opens with Mamitha's character hurling a knife at Marimuthu's character, hinting at an action-oriented premise. The cast also includes Telugu actor Sivaji Sontineni, Swasika, Lizzie Antony and Anamika Mahi, who is being introduced through this film.
The most distinctive aspect of the production is its directorial lineup.The screenplay and direction are being handled by The Alpha Unit, a collective of six filmmakers - Vishal TR, Yash V, Naren Saoda, Chanakkiyan R, Dhanush Kumar and Ilamparithi. The story has been written by Pradeep himself.
The film's music is composed by Sai Abhyankkar, who also composed the launch track Aane Wala Star, which was released alongside the announcement video. Cinematography is by Dinesh Purushothaman, editing by Pradeep E. Ragav, production design by Aswin Lara, stunt choreography by Dinesh Kasi and sound mixing by Tapas Nayak. Deepan Raj is the film’s creative lead and Ramesh Narayanan is the creative producer.
Pradeep Ranganathan has directed and written Love Today (2022), Comali (2019), and has acted in films such as Dragon (2024) and Dude (2025), with the latter co-starring Mamitha Baiju, their first collaboration before this production. Pradeep's most recent appearance as an actor was in Love Insurance Kompany (2026). Mamitha Baiju, who was recently seen in Kara (2026), will be seen in Suriya’s upcoming romantic comedy Vishwanath and Sons, as well as Nivin Pauly co-starrer Bethlehem Kudumba Unit.
