Superstar Aamir Khan's first look from filmmaker Lokesh Kanagaraj's Coolie was unveiled on Thusday, which featured the actor in an all-new avatar. Fresh off his comedy drama Sitaare Zameen Par, Khan is seen in a black vest, with a tattooed arm, smoking a pipe, and wearing glasses.

Khan has a special cameo in Coolie, which is headlined by Rajinikanth. The action thriller, produced by Kalanithi Maran's Sun Pictures, also stars Nagarjuna, Upendra, and Shruti Haasan among others.

"Introducing #AamirKhan as Dahaa, from the world of #Coolie 😎⚡#Coolie is all set to dominate IMAX screens worldwide from August 14th 🔥," the official tweet from the makers read.

This is the first time Khan will be seen working with Rajinikanth. Anirudh Ravichander has composed music forCoolie, which is reportedly based on gold smuggling. The film will release on August 14 and have a box office face-off with War 2, led by Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR.

Last month, it was revealed that the upcoming Tamil film will be released as Majadoor in Hindi; however, the Hindi version has now been titled Coolie: The Power House.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter India, Nagarjuna confirmed that he was playing the antagonist in the film. "I had such a liberating experience. I asked him a couple of times if he was sure he wanted me to behave a certain way and if people acted this way, and Lokesh would go, 'Yes, sir, people are very evil!'" he said.

Kanagaraj had also opened up about collaborating with Rajinikanth and called it a dream come true moment. "I want to show him what a Kamal Haasan fan can do with a Rajinikanth film," the director had said in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter India.

Kanagaraj is known for films like Vijay-starrer actioner Leo (2023), Kamal Haasan’s Vikram (2022), Vijay’s Master (2021) and Karthi’s Kaithi (2019).
